Every Trip to Paris Deserves a New Camera

with 2 comments

MARIN COUNTY | California

Rica and I are going to Paris next May so that I can attend one of Peter Turnley’s street photography workshops. Since I’ll be walking around a good part of the day, I thought this was a reasonable enough excuse to buy a new camera. It’s an Olympus OM-D, recommended by Ming Thein, a Kuala Lumpur based photographer whose blog I’ve been paying attention to lately.

I spent an hour this morning at the Golden Gate Bridge giving the camera its first outing.  Besides being small and light, its main feature for me is extremely fast focus, making it easier to record decisive moments.

  1. This is a fine investment as the clear, sharp photos show. I’m glad you got a light weight camera, as your other looked pretty hefty.
